Manage Tasks with Issues
“Issue” is a core feature. You can create issues to track tasks and assign them to the right people. The issues are listed in a table, making it easy to see any overdue tasks.
[See the manual: Creating an Issue]
Issues and Tasks
- You can register tasks as issues (for example, creating a homepage design proposal).
- Each issue can include details like the tracker, subject, assignee, status, progress, priority, version, time tracking, and description.
- Issues can be viewed in a list format.
- Custom fields can be added to fit specific project needs.
- You can attach files to issues.
- Issues can also be linked together, allowing for relationships such as parent-child issues.
Statuses and Workflows
- Issues can have different statuses such as New, In Progress, Resolved, and Closed (you can also add or modify statuses).
- Workflows allow you to set rules for status changes based on the tracker (for example, you can set different workflows for issues and tasks).
- Check the manual for more details on Issue Statuses,Trakers, Workflow.
Assigning Users
- Issues can be assigned to members within the project.
- You can also assign groups.
- Changes in assignees trigger notifications to keep everyone updated.
Custom Fields
You can add custom fields to issues to meet the specific requirements of your project.
For more information, refer to the Custom Fields section in the manual: Adding Custom Fields
File Attachments
Documents, images, and other files can be attached to issues (My Redmine allows you to adjust the maximum file size, up to 100MB).
Comments and History
You can add comments to issues to keep discussions centralized. A full change history is recorded for each issue, ensuring complete transparency.
Search and Filtering
Use the search and filter tools to quickly find the issues you need (you can also save custom queries with specific filter conditions).
