Searching for Issues and Attachments

The search function is both convenient and powerful, helping you quickly find issues, attachments, and other project-related items.
With features like filtering, cross-project searches, and customizable fields, the search tool is designed to help you manage even large projects efficiently.

To search for issues, Wiki pages, or other items, just type a keyword into the search box in the top-right corner of the screen and press Enter. If you enter an issue number (e.g., 999 or #999), you’ll be taken directly to that issue.

Search results are limited to the current project you’re viewing. To search across all projects, simply choose “All Projects” from the dropdown next to the search box or click the “Projects” button in the top menu to perform your search.

Narrowing Your Search (Example: Searching for Issues)

【Method 1】: Search within the specific module you want (e.g., Issues).

  1. Navigate to the “Issues” section.
  2. Enter your keyword in the search box at the top-right and press Enter.

【Method 2】: Filter the search results on the search screen.

  1. Enter a keyword in the search box at the top-right and press Enter.
  2. On the search screen, uncheck everything except “Issues” and click “Search.”

When Custom Fields Aren’t Searchable

To make custom fields searchable, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to “Administration” → “Custom fields” from the top menu.
  2. Select the custom field you want to make searchable.
  3. On the custom field’s edit screen, enable “Searchable” and click “Save.”

Steps to Search Attachments

  1. Click on “Search” in the top-right corner of the screen and enter the keyword for the file you’re looking for.
  2. Under “Options,” select “Search attachments only” and click “Search.”

Note: If you select “Search attachment filenames and descriptions,” the search will include attachment names and descriptions along with issues and Wiki pages. To exclude attachments from your issue and Wiki searches, choose “Do not search attachments.”
